Meet Our Team

Casey Cronin: Owner/Operator (right)

Casey is a third-generation carpenter who grew up spending weekends on job sites alongside his father, learning the craft from an early age. After earning a degree in psychology, his passion for building was reignited during a year of national service with AmeriCorps, where he worked on construction projects for nonprofit organizations throughout the East Coast.

Eventually drawn to Western Massachusetts, Casey spent several years living and working at a meditation center in Shelburne, where he served as project manager and lead carpenter. During that time he helped bring the center’s master campus plan to fruition, contributing to projects that included residential buildings, offices, and the construction of a pagoda.

After leaving the center, Casey continued refining his craft while working with respected local builders and collaborators. Known for his attention to detail and thoughtful approach to renovation, he combines traditional carpentry values with careful planning and collaboration with designers, architects, and skilled tradespeople.

At Cronin Craft, Casey focuses on meaningful renovations that enhance the beauty, function, and longevity of homes across Western Massachusetts. A self-described “carpentry nerd,” he takes pride in thoughtful craftsmanship, strong relationships with clients and creating spaces that feel both timeless and deeply personal.

Brian Keaney: Carpenter (left)

Brian is a highly skilled carpenter whose path to the craft has been shaped by years of work in hands-on trades, travel and years of dedicated practice.

He got the woodworking bug early, learning shop skills from a family friend who was both a carpenter and woodworking teacher. After high school, Brian worked as a tree climber and bucket operator for a local tree company, an experience that signficantly developed his tradesman skills. During his twenties, Brian spent several years traveling throughout North America. During this time, a chance encounter eventually led him into a meditation practice, and he spent a year living at a meditation center in Massachusetts followed by extended study in India.

Upon returning to Western Massachusetts, Brian worked for 8 years as a foreman for an insulation contractor and is extremely knowledgeable in insulation and home performance. Eventually he reconnected with woodworking and apprenticed with experienced carpenters who helped refine his technical skills and deepen his understanding of the craft.

Today his work reflects a lifelong appreciation for wood, careful craftsmanship and the belief that well-made products should be both functional and enduring.
